Students learn to make data-driven economic decisions, administer contracts, manage engineering equipment, analyze productivity, and address legal problems. Coursework includes topics in contract administration, asset management, statistics, entrepreneurship, and intellectual property management. 

This degree will also help students prepare for the Project Management Professional certification by the Project Management Institute.

The M.S. in Engineering Management program is a coursework-based graduate degree program oriented toward students who wish to gain introductory knowledge in the management of engineering projects. Project management is a critical requirement for successful industrial, construction, and other engineering projects.

Students with a variety of academic backgrounds are eligible to apply for the program, including those with undergraduate degrees in engineering disciplines (e.g., architectural, civil, mechanical, or environmental engineering) and non-engineering disciplines (e.g., architecture, construction management, or others).
